about the artistery:
The Artistery is an intentional art community that encourages all creative forms. We provide a supportive and intimate environment for those who desire to be creative. We have gallery space and a music venue that caters to all ages. Through this we hope to help cultivate a healthy local art community.
We encourage artistic pieces and community “happenings” (photos, writing, music, ect.) to be submitted to this website where we do our best to post all that we can. We do what we do to support art in our community and encourage others to do the same.
Residence and Studio Rental:
This is a fairly standard requirement for renters. WE JUST WANT TO SURPRISE YOU THE LEAST WE CAN.)
To rent studio space at the Artistery you must first contact Aaron. There are few restrictions beside having a job that can afford the rent (which is pretty low) and using any seriously mind/hair altering substances around the house or studio space.
Rent:
We have 9 studios and 2 price categories as of 10/01/2007 (this does not include utilities which are split with how many people reside here each month). $25 of that goes into paying curator, etc.

The “categories” are based on size of room and temperature fluctuation, etc. Also if one or more of the rooms are unoccupied the remaining resident rent will increase to cover it. This usually isn’t a problem since one of the requirements to a resident getting their deposit back is giving a full 30 day notice.
Deposit:
The deposit for each studio equals the total paid each month for rent. Example; if you are in the $265 rent category then your deposit (which is due upon studio takeover) is $265. $50 of each deposit is a cleaning fee. If you don’t clean your studio and a bit of the building upon departure the Artistery will keep $50 of your deposit. The remainder is security, for destroying the studio, ect.
